Plat Hostel Keikyu Asakusa Karin is incredibly good value for money, clean & centrally located close to 4 train lines with great access to both Narita & Haneda, the Sumida River overlooking Skytree, the Asakusa area close to Sensoji, restaurants & Kappabasshi St which is a great area since you get a more authentic feel of Old Tokyo walking in the backstreets. The room while simple is everything you need, there’s space for your luggage in your room. The beds are also very comfortable for a good sleep and the room is clean. I stayed here twice so had a private room with private bathroom but with the shared bathroom you’re sharing with a max of 6 other guests which is really good for hostel standards. There’s also a large rooftop terrace with great views of Tokyo Skytree and it’s a bonus to have a laundry. The staff were also super friendly, always happy to chat with guests & give great local recommendations. This is a great budget option for those visiting Tokyo

Very friendly and helpful staff, everyone can speak english well, so you can also have a nice chat with them. I could check in earlier. The hostel is quite small, but it has everythink you need (also a small kitchen, laundry...) and it is very clean. My room was small but it was enough space for my big suitcase. It also had air condition, a comfy bed, a small fridge, some hangers and a little table. You get towels and slippers for free. A Highlight was the rooftop from where you could see the tokyo skytree. The Location is also very good. There is a directly metro line from the Airport to the asakusa station and than its a 10 min walk. Close to the tokyo skytree or sensoji temple and with the asakusa line you can also go easily more into the tokyo City. Shops like 7 eleven/ Restaurants nearby (5-10min walk).

1. Beautiful view of sky tree from the rooftop. Free towel and slippers. Microwave, oven, freezer, fridge, and kitchen sink available in the common area. 2. Bunk bed was so robust that there was no annoying ‘quake’ when another guest climb the bunk bed. It also has a separate place to put small storages inside the bunk bed. It was also quite good in soundproofing from noise that other’s guests made. 3. Location was not so far from Asakusa station, about 10 minutes on foot. 4. Common area was always clean. 5. Compared to other hostels with similar pricing in Asakusa, they have new facilities with clean-look place. 6. Staff were friendly and helpful. They recommended me to use hostel’s umbrella when it was about to rain.

It was the best hostel I could've stayed at! I am very glad to have chosen the plat hostel and to have met such lovely staff - Shin and Grace. Thanks for the two nights I've stayed there. For the coffee and the lovely chat! The hostel is very cleanly managed and friendly. It's near Asakusa station with an astounding view of the Skytree. I personally like it more than the Tokyo Tower. Being near Asakusa station means you can ride the Skyaccess from Narita, and it also means you get access to the tourist area without it being too noisy. You won't regret your choice if you stay here.

The facility is situated at a quiet residential neighborhood in Asakusa. It is close to both Asakusa and Honjo-Azumbashi Tokyo Metro station. If one need to take the metro, I recommend walking to Honjo-Asumbashi station instead. There are two set of crosswalks you have to walk across to get to Asakusa station and the traffic lights can take a while for the signal to change. I spend two nights at this place and the staffs I came across are very friendly. Facility is well lit and it is clean. The best thing about this place is the rooftop patio view of the Skytree.
